Tommy Wyche Memorial Concert

Conductor Edvard Tchivzhel

C. Thomas Wyche: Moonbeams (arr. Maestro Edvard Tchivzhel)
Grieg: Peer Gynt, Op. 23 (Incidental Music for Drama of Ibsen)
Sibelius: Symphony No. 2, Op. 43, D major

This very special concert opens with a tribute to one of Greenville’s great community leaders, the late Tommy Wyche, as we play one of his own compositions. The evening continues with the dramatic and deeply heartfelt incidental music of Grieg’s Peer Gynt and concludes with the grandiose finale — Sibelius’ patriotic Second Symphony, also known as the “Symphony of Independence.”
To purchase tickets, call The Peace Center Box Office at (864) 467-3000 or toll-free at (800) 888-7768, or online at peacecenter.org.
