One of the most talented and innovative composers of our time, Michael Daugherty described his “Metropolis Symphony” as “a musical response to the myth of Superman, the legendary hero of comic books.” Another American composer, Christopher Theofanidis explores the mystery of life and death in his highly spiritual Rainbow Body. And we will celebrate the power of love with the incredible beauty of Tchaikovsky’s ultra-romantic Ballet music.
